worst show/club you‘ve ever played:
must have been in Bristol / UK in 2009 on tour with Deecracks. 2 people showed up, and they only stuck around because without them, there would have been no reason for us to keep playing really. Lot of pressure on those 2 for sure.
funniest thing ever happened on tour:
not so much fun for one person, but here it goes: in 2003 (?) we played in Berchtesgaden, Germany with a band called Loony Brain. After the show there was a party in an abandoned police building at the former AT/DE border. At some point, one of the locals said oh yeah , this whole building is gonna be torn down on monday, we can fuck shit up, so we did. We threw fire extinguishers through the plasterboard walls, smashed windows with office chairs, broke ceilings and went totally berserk. In the middle of this mayhem, Loony Brain’s drummer Pete (who had been outside to take a leak and missed the news) came back in and inquired what the fuck was going on. Someone said we can tear this whole place down!, so Pete was like sweet!, turned around and swung his foot against what turned out to be a concrete wall with full force. Poor bastard shattered his big toe like it was made from porcelain. We carried him around town the next day like a king.
Favourite tour drink:
gin & tonic, the realer danger
alltime favourite record in the tourbus:
for me personally, Face To Face – ST. We usually have this one song policy on long drives – people pick songs one after another, no 2 songs by the same artist in a row. That makes for some pretty good spontaneous playlists.
These 5 bands inspired us:
Jawbreaker, Alkaline Trio, Samiam, Hüsker Dü, The Ramones
one band you want to play with:
already got quite a lot off my bucket list. Playing with Rancid would be interesting 😉
a „no-go“ at your shows:
don’t be a sexist, homophobe asshole. let people have a good time, and always watch the opening bands. the dark lord commands it!
Future plans:
we’re currently working on a split release with Dorkatron from southern Austria. These guys have been friends of ours forever, we’re label mates on Monster Zero Records and we can’t wait for that to happen cause their songs kick ass, even though they are nerds.
that’s something we want to achieve as a band:
we are in a very different place than a couple years back. We all have families, day jobs, and this whole adult thing going on, yadda yadda. We don’t play long tours anymore. that means as a band, it’s hard to grow and reach new people (in a dwindling scene, no less). We love to write and record new music, so we’ll keep doing that, and then we love to play said music live from time to time. We’re lucky enough to get to play great shows, and as long as that’s the case, we’ll keep going.
