I had a bit of a heavier week in terms of music, which is nothing really new in my case. But this time I didn’t only go through the older classics I was listening to when I was 15 or bands like Comeback Kid that are still a bit more punk.
I was checking out some Metalcore stuff and then I came across an austrian band I was often reading about in my newsfeed, but honestly never really listened to. Of course I’m speaking of Anchorage, a band that, as I found out, is not existing that long yet, but already made some impact on the heavier austrian scene.
The song A Voice Within really got stuck into my head and went on constant repeat for some time. Pretty heavy sound with some melodic breaks. Especially those melodic parts are the stuff I need in heavier music, to really get into it.
Definitely a band I’ll try to see live in the next time.
